In partnership with world-renowned lake- and shoreline-health experts at Michigan State University and the Wisconsin Land And Water Conservation Association, the CHA has sourced three incredibly valuable booklets.
Shoreline Living, from MSU, has been adapted for life in Haliburton County. (2020 & 2023 editions)
The Shoreline Stabilization Guide, from WLWCA, provides guidance on dealing with erosion in a lake friendly way.
For the first time – and to help us do even more to protect our lakes and shorelines for future generations – we are asking everyone who would like a copy of either booklet to make an optional donation to the CHA, all of which would be used to fund our work in the County.
The size of the donation doesn't matter and we do understand that any donation might be too much to ask just now.
